How To Avoid Shaving Spots
One of the biggest complaints after shaving is shaving spots, they can appear straight after shaving or any time after and can develop into rashes.
What causes shaving spots?
Shaving spots are caused by the new hair curling back and penetrating the skin which causes inflammation, the spots are usually red small bumps and can become infected if you did not clean your skin before shaving.
How to avoid shaving spots?
If you have shaving spots you must wait till the spots have gone before shaving again as you will make them worse. Make sure you clean the skin with a good soap making sure you have no oil or dirt on your face, you will need to make sure you have a razor which is sharp and clean. Apply a decent shaving foam and lather into the beard and begin to shave against the grain of the beard.
What to do after shaving?
Wash your face with cold water removing the excess shaving foam and clean your face with an antiseptic face wash to clean the pores and remove dirt. Then you will need to close the pores with a lots of cold water to avoid dirt entering the new exposed skin, then apply a decent aftershave.
